"I define connection as the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued; when they can give and receive without judgement; and when they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship."

LPC Supervision for School Counselors and Private Practice Therapists
My practice is for both Animal-Assisted and Non Animal-Assisted counseling for individuals ages 6 through adult. I provide support through solution-focused, play, and experiential/expressive techniques that maximize time spent in therapy sessions with practical applications for clients' everyday lives.

School Counselors pursuing Licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) have unique needs and can benefit from a Supervisor with an extensive school counseling background. Large caseloads, the need for strong collaboration with professionals on- and off-campus, and counseling techniques that are beneficial within time constraints must be considered. Many school counselors transition to private practice, and this unique skill set can be valuable in your new setting as a private practice therapist.

I have been an LPC-S since 2018 and was trained by Dr. Rhonda Johnson of the Center for Counseling & Family Relationships in Fort Worth, Texas. There is an emphasis on building a strong supervisory relationship. I provide various activities that help Supervisees learn how their experiences affect their approaches with clients. There is an emphasis on ethical responsibilities for the partnership and professional practices, and tools to help ensure seamless and efficient implementation of pursuing and documenting professionally supervised experience.
